Her owner said they couldn’t care for her or the puppies, so the shelter had her spayed before she could have any more. Now this incredibly sweet ~4 year old Great Pyrenees mix is stuck in a kennel, waiting for someone to give her a chance. Penny is the kind of dog who should be curled up somewhere comfortable, not stuck in a loud, stressful shelter. She is unbelievably gentle, sweet, & calm. She’s also dog friendly & walks beautifully on a leash. Unfortunately, Penny is heartworm positive, so she is currently available for shelter FOSTER OR RESCUE (NEEDS FOSTER) ONLY while she receives treatment. She just needs a quiet place where she can decompress, rest, feel safe, & finally be cared for. A rescue can provide the medical support she needs, but they need someone local willing to open their home to her. Please, can someone give Penny that soft place to land? 🥺 She has already been through enough.
