@altrhorizon: I stopped making fresh AI subagents rebuild research that had already been done. I tested this with Claude Cowork using the same GitHub research task in two setups. Without a handoff, the fresh subagent opened all 3 documentation sources: • Authentication
• Pagination
• Rate limits Then I ran it again with a shared RESEARCH.md. The file already contained the Authentication + Pagination research, so the delegated subagent read that first, reused both findings, and opened only the missing Rate limits source. 3 sources opened → 1 new source opened. Small experiment, so I’m not treating that as some universal efficiency benchmark. But it changed how I’m thinking about delegation. Instead of expecting every new agent to rebuild context from the conversation, I can leave behind a simple research handoff: → what was checked
→ what we learned
→ what’s still missing Then the next agent can: → read existing research → fill the gaps → update the handoff I’m testing this with Claude Cowork Projects + shared local files now, but the principle feels useful anywhere work gets delegated across separate agent contexts.
