This is an update with what I found is working for me so far. With all of your advice and guidance I’ve chosen to go a square. I can put all of my template invoices in there so far I’ve got five it also has an app for Appointments as well as as they sign electronically through Square. So basically Square has been handling everything that I need for my small business and I haven’t even tapped into what more it has to offer. I’m just putting this in case it helps somebody else.

so what do you rent in the cooler or colder months ?? I live in NC and we usually get cold weather in Oct Nov and can't really rent out outdoor items ...just wondering how to keep money coming in in those colder months

We’ve had good success with Square. We use the free plan so the only payment is a percentage of all transactions and within square we do all of our invoicing, there’s in a calendar so we can show what is going where and when, as well as contract contracts included for our usage agreements. It also includes an online storefront that can double as your website to keep it all in one place.

Thank you again for motivating me to start my rental business 😁 We’re using Stripe as well, plus Booqable for our inventory tracking, automated emails, and website! I can’t believe I was able to create our website by myself using their web builder/template option. It’s been a total game changer for backend setup. Highly recommend!

Thanks Emily! I started in June and am using Stripe and SignWell also…SignWell is only free if you only send 5 documents…the light package is $12/month.

Do you get bookings during the week? We’ve now had to make our rental go from side hustle to full time job and trying to grow it as quickly as possible. Little traction on website. It’s all coming from marketplace which hasn’t been bad. But just need more organic bookings I guess?
