@talkball2: Comrade Kawhi is the hero we didn’t deserve ✊ #videoessay #kawhi #footballtiktok

Quack :

Very unlikely I’d say, especially when you factor in how much more of a tight knit community the NBA players have ( national league of ≈ 500 players) vs different football leagues in Europe with varying laws & regulations. Not to mention the fact that football doesn’t have a salary cap the same way the NBA does.

KB :

I hear the unionise take, I believe that 30 nba teams is significantly easier to work with than the English football pyramid (at the pro level), it can’t just be the premier league taking initiative, it’d have to be the rest of the EFL too for us to see a real change on this side of the pond

josh tb :

i watched a video that stated that the NBA is the most socialist industry in sports and I think I'm inclined to agree

ilyan :

Companies have historically hired people with massive racial,ethnic, and linguistic differences in order to prevent unionisation. While probably not for the same reasons clubs have players and across the leagues have a huge differences culturally it becomes so much harder to unionise in these situations.

Venandr :

it's worth noting that there is a salary cap in the NBA to protect the owners investments. In the Premier League, there's no limit on the salary of an individual player

_superchargerwhine :

no. marxism is fundamentally incompatible with a high level of professional sports, what you're suggesting isn't class revolution

Lex :

No but he’s SAVING THE RAPTORS

ntokozo. :

It might be time to accept that the league structure that we know is probably on its way out, aren’t there like 47 EFL clubs for sale? Rather than premier league actually helping their survival, we’re more likely to see football just end up doing super league shit worldwide

jowel :

this was all uncle Dennis
