No. I don’t think he will. In my experience, judges do not question other judges decisions

I think there a possibility that he gets the stay granted. The jury foreperson’s prior note outlined that there was one juror who said they cannot follow the law. I feel like that should be grounds for removing the juror, or at least questioning the other jurors about if that one juror did indeed say they cannot follow what the law says.

I think the military has the right idea in juries. They only require 3/4ths for a conviction but anything less than 3/4ths is an automatic acquittal. A full unanimous is only required for the punishment phase of a death penalty

I’m curious. If it comes back that the hold up for that juror is that he is catholic. And the two comments made by the prosecution took effect on him. Does that not declare a mistrial by prosectution misconduct
