can you plz explain the passive " You have been laid to". why do we have this sentence in Passive voice? only Sub+ verb+obj structure can be changed to Passive voice. As a Spanish and Portuguese speaker, the hardest part of learning English for me is phrasal verbs. For instance, a word like 'pull' completely changes its meaning when combined with prepositional words like 'over', 'up', or 'off'.

I'm not a native English speaker but I do have to use English as my main language and I can say that phrasal verbs should not be considered as a priority to learn. Some of them are part of your daily vocabulary . find out , look for...but as he has said there are other words you could use and for Spanish learners are also easier to use.
