i knew this anime would be rough. mappa at the time was filled with projects also having shelved projects that were in the works. their lead animation director sunghoo park who oversaw the jjk blue ray cut, also oversaw god of highschool and seeing how he played it. it was always intended to be a one and done to fulfill their obligations to webtoons collaboration with crunchyroll. i will say it did work the success of goh, tower of god, noblesse allowed for studios to decide to pick up more web novels. thus we got solo leveling from a-1 i was so happy about that reading it back in middle school fanbase low key sucks now. and hell we even got an omniscient reader's viewpoint coming from aniplex. long story short if they chose a team that wasnt crazy busy and just as good say ufotable things would have been different and we would get to see peak animated the way it should have been because i wont lie i was really disappointed in the mori vs deawi fight id rather read it everytime
