Hold on - do people really think first person perspective narratives are supposed to be about them? They cannot disconnect the written "I" from themselves? What 😭?!

‘Generally’ being used instead of ‘genuinely’ has been sending me for years. ‘I’m generally really sorry’ 🤢

I politely corrected someone who was saying "whenever" instead of "when", cos it was changing the meaning of her sentences, and SOMEONE ELSE told me "holy nitpick"?????

"of" instead of "have" drives me insane. These words are not even *close* in meaning or spelling.

Conversational literacy. Good expression. I have chats with people at work who say, "I didn't say that!" and I have to say, "I know. I said it. I said it in response to what you said. That is how conversation works." Almost verbatim, this has occurred many times.

It's honestly exhausting. They're not even open to being corrected or taught. It's always "it's not that deep", which it literally is, and "well I understand what I meant". English is my second language, I should not have a better grasp of it than a native speaker.

I have to add how Americans can't seem to understand how to use the phrase "I couldn't care less" correctly? For some reason they always say "I COULD care less", which is actually the opposite of what they think it means? Crazy.
