as a mexican, i thought the cartoon rides were a thing everywhere lol at any fair i always thought the (bad) paint job (specially in the mall rides) was the only thing local and figured that surely in other parts of the world the cartoon rides would just be higher quality

My friend, I think (if you haven't seen it already) you would lose your MIND in the carousel room at the House on The Rock in Wisconsin. It has a collection of carousel animals worth 4.8 MILLION dollars. My boyfriend and I went in late August this year, and it was just as magical as when I went when I was a little kid. They have a running carousel with 0 horses on it, but no one can ride it because they're all vintage animals.The picture I have included is just a PORTION of ONE of the walls in ONE of the rooms. It was stunning!!

The carrousel with the German flag is a Dutch carrousel build around 1900 and currently resides at Efteling.

This context really helps! The designs were not what I was expecting, but now I realize I was expecting Disney to make another American or European-style carousel, not realizing one theme for the Tropical Americas land would draw from traditions I’m not familiar with
