I am an old lady now, but when I was young, I lost a best friend. She was only in her 30s. It was one of the hardest things I ever went through, but I made a promise to her that as long as I live, there would be stories of her. Her name was Nettie Lou. She was an incredible young woman who always told the most fantastic stories and had a great laugh. She has been gone almost 30 years now, but I will say… I miss you, my friend and I make this promise to you as long as I live there will be stories of Nettie Lou. I hope you don't mind me sharing. Wait for the dream. It’s coming.. it’ll be the most amazing thing. She’ll be there and she’ll give you a sign and when you wake up you’re going to know that she’s OK. Best way to honor a friend is by living the best life you can for you and for them. Love your family love hers too. Do the things she can no longer do and do it with love and respect. Treat your mom like she would treat hers.
