I hate this app :
I'm confused. kids are being arrested for posting the cat in the hat in locations local to themselves? is it because the cat is posted to be local, or because it's AI, or is it code for something or someone? is the cat rumored to... do anything in these locations? this is poor reporting.

I think it’s something huge for these kids my daughter she’s a senior in high school and we live in North Dakota. She was actually frightened of it. I mean these kids are scared of it. We don’t know the length of this cat in the hat will do, but I mean jokes society is kind of funny from our childhood to my kids, but it’s not funny to them

I think they believe this is or could be linked to sketchy situations. Kids are copying by going to dress up as cat in the hat in their neighborhoods making videos then it may give their location to some shady people. Or the real “cat in the hat” shows up.
