I've always understood it as God and Jesus as two separate beings. I mostly learn christian beliefs but have an open mind about all of it. That's the first time I've heard someone say christians believe them to be as one being but the moment Jesus gave his life on the cross if I remember right Luke 23:34 "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” to me it sounds like he's referring to another being (God)
