@nichestheartandstroke: Nicole McKelvie from Banbridge was only 45 years old when she was diagnosed with heart failure after a long and frustrating search for answers. For months, Nicole struggled with severe breathlessness and exhaustion, determined to keep going despite feeling increasingly unwell. Learning she was in acute heart failure came as a devastating shock. After her diagnosis, Nicole reached out to NICHS and went through out Family Support Service, Taking Control programme and Return to Work support. Nicole is also the Chairwoman and Co-founder of Heart Failure Warriors NI. We're sharing 80 Stories throughout our 80th anniversary year, celebrating the people at the heart of NICHS's journey. Today we're featuring Nicole's story to raise awareness of heart failure and encourage people to seek help if something doesn't feel right.
