In both of those examples they were highly empowered and protected by the US government, as is the case with Big railorads, US steel industry and on to Tesla, banks that are too big to fail, big tech companies are all highly subsidized or legally protected

I agree with him, and yet the Manhattan Project and the Apollo Program were not, strictly speaking, solely conceived, financed, and managed by free enterprise. And yet the benefits to the masses from both government projects transformed their lives. And yes, nukes are bad.

I don’t understand why this argument is still controversial. This is true as true can be. HOWEVER, humans are humans, and they corrupt every system they touch whether it be religious, economic or governmental…which is why there does need to be oversight over capitalist systems too. Not hard to understand.
