Holy crap is the theme for this sunmer just loneliness? I just realized that Backrooms, Obsession, and even Spider-Man all deal with main characters who are lonely. No wonder they all hit so hard (except Obsession. i haven't seen that yet)

The reason backsession didn’t end up as a war like barbenheimer, is because these movies relate to everyone in modern society. We feel lost in our own very selves and the backrooms shows a man with those same feelings, finding a place that’s the exact opposite of what he is, finding peace in a world that is against what he stands for. And obsession shows how we are willing to do anything to get what we want, even if it’s love, we can become desperate enough to want someone so obsessed with us, and even if it’s an unhealthy relationship we still stay, because all we long for as human beings is love and affection, we stay in an endless cycle of hate and loneliness, yet what we truly want, is to find our own selves and find true love and affection.
