There was a time I felt like I would die for a person. If I didn’t hear anything from him, if I didn’t know where he was or how he was, I couldn’t stay still. Without giving anyone knowledge of where I was going, I ran away from my house just to meet him. My heart was racing so fast, because all I wanted was to know how he was, to see him, to be near him. I had so many things inside my heart that I wanted to say, but somehow my heart became a full stop. There was no way to say what I was feeling, so I kept everything inside and stayed silent. And after a while, a ghost entered that silence and tried to destroy everything she had about her half soul. She became numb. She stayed numb for years, not really understanding how much had happened to her, how much she had lost, or how much she had been carrying inside. Time slowly taught her things that nobody could explain. It taught her about love, about pain, about losing herself, and about finding herself again. She still carries the memories of the person she once ran toward with a racing heart. She still loves him with the same energy, the same excitement, and the same feeling she always had for him. That love did not simply disappear. But now she is trying to come back to her own energy, the energy she had before all of this happened. She is trying to remember who she was, how she smiled, how she lived, how she felt things, and how she carried herself before she became lost inside everything she was feeling. She is not looking for another person. She is only trying to find herself again—the woman she was before the pain, before the silence, before she became numb. The love still be there, the memories still be there, and the feelings still be the same, but now she is slowly learning to bring her own light back to herself.
