I'm 37, I tell my parents "love you" every time I leave the room, they say it back. It's not about that single moment being impactful, it's about knowing that love was as normal and constant as breathing.

I think it depends on the family one comes from. My family never said I love you to each other, because no one in any of the generations had. And there wasn’t a social media to spread awareness, so people just parented how they were parented. I was the first person to say it in our family. Now we say it.

I always tell my family daily that I love them! Life is so short and you never know when the last time you’ll say it to them, so I say it all the time and they constantly tell me the love me too ❤️❤️

My mum used to say to me, I don't need me to tell you I love you, you know I do. Her actions did not give loving. My son is 19 I tell him I love him all the time. I don't understand parents that don't like their kids.

It means everything. We are not mind readers. Kind loving words mean so much. Actions are good of course, but kind caring positive loving verbal emotions mean so much. It's a bit old fashioned in my opinion to not give verbal confirmation/affirmations

every night I say good night love you lots to both my children, if my teenager is away it's said to them via text. I randomly tell them I love them and hug the youngest (teenager says no hugs 🤣)
