One year ago, they stood beneath those lights together. Two people, one stage, one award held between them, and they smiling as though there would always be another night like this waiting somewhere in the future. We didn’t know then. We didn’t know that some moments arrive so quietly, only to become precious when they are already behind us. So we watched. We watched the way they stood beside each other. The way their smiles found their way into the same frame. The way their names were called together. The way, for a little while, the world seemed to make perfect sense. It felt ordinary. And perhaps that is what made it beautiful. We never thought we needed to remember it this beautifully. Because when you believe something will happen again, you never stop to say goodbye to the moment you are living. A year has passed. The lights have returned. The stage is still waiting. The awards are being held once again. But somewhere between then and now, the meaning of that night changed. What was once a moment became a memory ❤️ What once felt like something we could see again became something we can only look back on. And I think that is the quietest kind of heartbreak when nothing about the past changes, but everything about the present does. If I could borrow that night from time just once more, I wouldn’t ask it to change. I wouldn’t ask for another ending. I’d simply stay a little longer beneath those lights. Long enough to notice every smile. Long enough to remember how it felt to see them there together. Long enough to understand that sometimes, the moments we take for granted are the very ones our hearts will return to the most. One year ago, they held an award together. But today, I hold the memory of them holding it 🥹 Funny how time can leave everything exactly where it was the photographs, the stage, the smiles and still take something away from us. Maybe that night was never meant to be forever. Maybe it was only meant to be beautiful while it lasted. And it was. God, it was beautiful. I just wish I had known that I was watching a moment my heart would one day learn to miss 🤍 #enjoyyotdr #junenannirin #enjoyjune #jland
