The worst pain is giving it to the wrong person and not only that but finding out you were love bombed, being played with, manipulated, betrayed, gaslighted, cheated on, used. You realized Your reality was different from hers. This is why you were feeling confused, exhausted and drained. Anxiety, trauma bond, betrayal trauma, resentment, extreme anxiety and ptsd is something I never want to experience again.

When I realized it wasn’t up to me whether we stayed together broke me. The helplessness and sadness was more than I could take. It’ll always be like that with me. I can’t turn love on and off like other people can.

It was the hardest lesson I ever had to accept (and I have been through real tragedies in my life) and I was in denial for so long. Some people truly never come back and it’ll be nothing you did. But I am in a different mindset these days that I refuse to believe I’ll always feel like this. If anyone is struggling it isn’t only time that heals, it’s the strength to feel that pain and accept it for what it is. I avoided the pain by distracting and telling myself false hope. Last year I was barely functional, this year I’m able to function but I finally allow for those feelings to stay and actually sit with them. There are times I grab my chest in utter disbelief but I truly believe God gave me this chapter of healing to become a different version of myself that I wasn’t before.
