@thesameerproject: Look at these smiles and anticipation as children loaded into the bus ready for a day with fury, hairy, feathery, and scaly friends! On August 30, children from The Sameer Project’s Refaat Alareer Camp loaded onto the bus for the short drive to our Sawarha Camp, home to our animal therapy program. Through play, touch, and care, the children spent the afternoon interacting with dogs and puppies, cats, rabbits, turtles, birds, snakes, and ducks - all kept safe, shaded, fed, and cared for by our team. For injured and sick children in our camps, as well as their siblings and family members, these animals offer something simple but powerful: comfort, connection, laughter, and unconditional love. This is a one-of-a-kind project in Gaza, and your support allows us to continue caring for these animals while creating moments of healing and joy for children who have endured far too much.
