@brittany.xavier: Zinnias were the easiest thing in my garden this year. I planted the seeds in May and another round in a different area in July. A few things I figured out along the way: When they’re about 8 inches tall, you cut the main stem called “pinching” and it sends up so many more blooms. I didn’t it do it to the first ones I grew bc I felt bad to prune them, but I didn’t get as many that season. If there are tiny bugs on them, I dip the whole flower in water with a little dish soap. They come right off. And when I cut, go way down the stem instead of snipping right under the bloom. I get a longer stem for the vase and the plant sends up more. I also use the leaves as filler too. I cut a jar for the kitchen every few days and there are still more blooming 🌸
