My Grandmom lived in a then small Catholic farming community during the Nazi takeover and reign of Germany. The only Nazi memorabilia she kept was a photo book issued by the party where you bought cigarettes that contained a photo to attach into the book of Hitler doing normal things like feeding the deer. She mentioned they stopped the cigarette photo campaign because they didn't want people to smoke anymore, but it was mostly ignored, especially towards the collapse. She held on to it for historical value and hoped to give it to a museum when she passed. I don't know where it went, I understand the appeal of preserving it to show the type of propaganda used, but I wouldn't care if it got trashed instead.
