I’m confused somebody help me understand 11 jurors said not guilty? When the mother admitted to strangling her kids? Were they saying not guilty to a higher crime or something? But she was guilty because there’s no way she’s innocent.

A mistrial because ONE juror out of twelve refused to apply the law despite acknowledging reasonable doubt is absolutely insane to me. Weeks of work, testimony, evidence, emotional exhaustion, time and money only for everyone to potentially fight the same battle all over again. Watching this from outside the United States has genuinely changed the way I view the American justice system.
