Lord, we pray for everyone who is suffering from different kinds of illnesses. Some are in hospitals, others are at home, and many are going through great pain. Stretch out Your mighty hand and touch them with Your healing power. Remove their pain, restore their health, strengthen their bodies, and fill their hearts with hope. Father, we also pray for everyone facing difficult challenges in life. Some are carrying heavy burdens, others are discouraged, struggling emotionally, physically, or financially. Lord, have mercy on them. Make a way where there seems to be no way. Give them strength, peace, wisdom, and courage to overcome every trial. Please do not leave Your children to fight their battles alone. Be their Protector, their Comforter, and their Refuge. Turn their tears into joy, their sorrow into hope, and their weakness into victory. We believe that nothing is impossible for You. By Your grace and mercy, bring healing, restoration, breakthrough, and abundant blessings to everyone in need. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray and believe. Amen.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t share these kinds of videos or that you shouldn’t show the good things you’re doing. On the contrary, I think these videos can be shared because they can inspire others and set a good example. But when we say, “The best kind of charity is the charity you keep private,” part of that means protecting the dignity of the people receiving the help. Their faces should be blurred, especially when there are young children and their families involved. They may feel embarrassed or humiliated. We need to have a little empathy and put ourselves in their place. These videos can be a beautiful example of kindness, but the people being helped should not have to sacrifice their dignity for the sake of the video. So yes, share the good deeds and inspire others—but please blur the faces of the people you’re helping. Otherwise, what you intended as an act of kindness could actually turn into a great harm to them.
