I don't understand why cops just can't accept the fact that you do not have to identify yourself unless they have reasonable articulable suspicion of an actual crime first and in some states like Texas which has the most plainly simplest written identification law in the country, you have to be lawfully under arrest for an actual crime before you have to identify yourself. Not under detention, not because you look suspicious, or any other bullshit. The only thing for identifying if you're under detention if you cannot provide false information.
