@beachgem10: My ladies have gotten a lot of attention recently: medical and social media. My symptoms resolved after surgery, but it’s still important that I get my screening mammograms to help detect cancer early #tata #mammogram #cancer #women #health Disclaimer: For educational and entertainment purposes only and should not be regarded as medical advice or replace the advice of your physician.
Bc of you openly sharing, when I experienced yucky discharge, I knew to get a screening. All is OK for me. 44 and post menopausal, but now getting annual MRI and Mammogram, spaced out so I'm being screened every 6 months. Your over-exposure PSA was meaningful!

A mammogram saved my life. I found out I had breast cancer at 39. TNBC Stage 2b. Still fighting, but wouldn’t have found the cancer otherwise.

Aged out of mammograms but scheduled one anyway, 1 cm anomaly found. Biopsy, lumpectomy, radiation. Ladies look after your boobs, thank goodness for Canadian healthcare.

My issue with the squishing part is that I am short 4'11 to be exact and I felt like I was being lifted off the ground by my boob and the technician told me to stop moving 😂🤣. I was like okay just don't drop me🤣😂

Please do it. Advocate for yourselves! Mammos should be done on even 20 years old with a family history! 🫶🏼

And your a Dr so I should not have to tell you this but if you have dense breast tissue demand an ultrasound. My second time around with breast cancer the mammogram was fine and the ultrasound found the cancer at that time, I still had full-size decent size breast, but I had dense breast tissue also. Also I know everything is great, but just keep an eye on that specific spot as well as the rest. I had a blocked duct when I had my son and I swear that’s the exact spot the cancer showed up in.

I am 41 currently going thru chemo for stage 3 grade 3 aggressive bilateral (and in my lymph nodes) breast cancer… I NEVER got a mammogram and I NEVER self checked… but thank God a voice told me one day to check myself and I did… otherwise things would have been way worse when/IF it was found… PLEASE GET YOUR MAMMOGRAMS AND SELF TEST!!!!! Trust me you do NOT want to go thru this the earlier they find it the better it is… Please get checked!!

Screening and advocating for yourself is sooo important. My sister had a lump and she was not taken seriously…after pushing for further testing and a lumpectomy she was in-fact diagnosed with breast cancer. And because she knows her body and knew something wasn’t right she’s was stage zero. She did a month of weekly radiation and has her annual mammograms! Early detection is possible!!
