@bethanyyhope: Just when I thought homeownership with Lennar couldn’t get any worse… an entire shelf in my master closet ripped out of the wall and crashed to the floor. Turns out they didn’t even bother securing it properly — they just nailed it up there and called it a day. This thing was heavy enough that it could have seriously injured or killed anyone standing underneath it. I’m done. Filing suit against Lennar for the dangerous defects in this house. No one should have to live in a home built this carelessly. #Lennar #HomeDefects #BuyerBeware #ConstructionFails #SuingLennar

I usually tell my clients, you’re at your own risk choosing lennar homes. They don’t last

A neighbor of mine was remodeling his 2.5 mil condo, they found piss bottles and garbage in the walls, filed a lawsuit and won against lennar

I hear the stories all the time: “Don’t buy a Lennar home!” But the reality is that everyone’s experience is different. I live in a Lennar home and, so far, I haven’t had any major issues. On the other hand, my friend lives in a DR Horton home and hasn’t had any problems either. Every builder has homeowners who are happy and others who have concerns. I completely understand that some people have had frustrating experiences, and their feelings are valid. However, it’s important to remember that not everyone will have the same experience with the same builder. At the end of the day, homeownership comes with maintenance and unexpected issues regardless of who built the home. Do your research, ask questions, and make the decision that’s best for you and your family.

I got a third party inspector before I bought my home last year. Best $600 I ever spent, they found missing nails everywhere, tested for mold, bugs, insulation and circulation using xray and infrared, checked every shingle on the roof, even gave me a second inspection the day I closed to make sure it was fixed. I printed out everything they found wrong and said I’m not signing until it’s all fixed. Lennar was fixing stuff up until the day I closed because it was in our agreement which gave them an extra 2 weeks to complete. No issues here. Check ur portal, you may be able to request someone to come and fix it for you. 💯

I told my husband we cannot buy a new built, I do not trust them, I want something 90s or early 00s when quality still mattered

our friends had to gut their Lennar home in less than 6 months because the shower was draining into the floors instead of into the pipes. The builders never connected the plumbing

This looks like you just have too much stuff hanging on the rack. Not a Lennar issue .

My bf's parents purchased a Lennar home with their entire savings and they say that the contractors will fix anything up to 6 months of buying A week after the 6 month mark, the house had massively sunken into the ground bc Lennar had bought out designated wildlife swamp areas for tons of money and filled it all in to put houses on it. Once the houses started settling, doors won't close, foundations are all cracked, basements flooding, walls cracking, the shower bar that holds the shower curtain literally fell out of the drywall, the stairs are bowing, screwed up driveways, etc. Steer clear of Lennar. All of the subdivision is out thousands in repairs that will never come.

this is why I bought a brick home built in 1960. Cheaper and less emotionally damaging to 'remodel', than to continually have to fix a brand new house. And as an appraiser, yes, Lennar are considered bottom of the barrel. but most of the other builders aren't far behind.
