@murtazaviews: An international Pakistani student suffered facial fractures after being subjected to racist abuse and brutally assaulted near the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow early on Sunday morning. Musadiq Ismail, who came to the UK in September 2025 from Pakistan and is studying for an MSc in International Financial Management at Middlesex University, said he was walking home at around 3:30am when a man began following him, shouting aggressively. According to Ismail, the attacker told him, “You don’t deserve to be here” and “Go back to your country” before repeatedly pushing him. Ismail said he initially avoided responding and continued walking, but pushed the man back to protect himself after being shoved several times. The suspect then punched and beat him, leaving his nose bleeding heavily and his clothes covered in blood. The student reported the attack to police several hours later and was advised to attend hospital. He said doctors conducted a CT scan and an eyesight examination, while medical staff confirmed that he had sustained facial fractures.
