@thewildgreenway: Replying to @Bracken any, please ๐ practical set up for someone with no electricity or hot water. We do have gas, cooker, fridge and heating in the caravan (however I havenโt figure out the whale water pump yet ๐ฌ (unsure if the leisure battery is up to running that.. ๐ค) really anything practical you think may help? #youdontknowwhatyoudontknow #offgridpower #tipsforgirls ๐
batteries & solar were a godsend for us, is your bell tent off the floor?
what have you got on your ground sheet?
and LAYERS of natural fabrics will be your best friend! the wood burning stove in our beltent kept everything toasty, wool socks/wool hats, long John's (or rugby skins) under everything, in winter we slept with long John's under cotton with wool over the top, (even slept in wooly hats) if you can get hold of straw and sheep skin put straw on your floor and cover with sheepskin rugs xx

wool blankets for warmth and wear layers of clothing to trap heat. there are wind up lanterns for light. tin baths are brilliant in front of a warm stove... thermals are a must in cold weather xx
