tip for used paint brushes that will probably work with rollers: after wrapping them up when the paints still wet, chuck it in the freezer until the next time you need it.

my grandpa worked in construction for a long time and whenever he finished painting for the day he would wrap the paint roller with a bag, tie it around the metal part, and put it in the fridge or freezer. he said the cold keeps it from drying up

After you wrap the plastic bag over the roller put it in the freezer. Then take it out a little while before you want to use it and it will work!!!
