What are you talking about. This is not good for Lyndsey by any stretch of the imagination. The chances of a conviction on retrial is 86%. Her shot at mental health facility instead of prison just dropped to 14%.

This is so unnecessary! The judge had every right to remove the juror who failed to follow the law, and it is a tragedy that he didn't do so. The most important takeaway is that Lindsay was acquitted—Red won! The prosecution lost the case, and that is something they must reckon with should there be a retrial. They now know they didn't succeed this time, and must be prepared for the consequences of that in any potential new round.

This is a terrible take. The reason they didn’t have to prove she did it was because she says she did it. She claimed she was innocent because didn’t understand what she was doing as she was suffering for post pardon phycosis. Why would the state prove she did it when that fact isn’t in contention. They focused on arguing intent and motive and state of mind. The instruction were the jury had to prove she understood what she did or not. If they find she didn’t know what she was doing then she is innocent. That’s what the jury had to find.
