The perfect dish….. my Nana used to bake salmon in tin foil with butter and we would have it with mash, peas and parsley sauce… I don’t know why that one came to mind, ever so simple but maximum comfort. I think perfection can only come from the memories and feelings we have attached to these dishes and not just perfect execution, was the Salmon a bit dry? Was the parsley sauce from a sachet? Yes to both but the feeling it gave me as a child was unmatched

I was born in Reading, lived on Send Road in Caversham, and moved to Aus when I was 6. I had those very same pancakes when I was very young and I still think of them at least once a month some twenty years later on the opposite side of the world. Cooking means so much to me, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a video so close to my heart. Thanks for making this, and small world.
