From the Uk so don’t fully understand your legal system but how on earth can there be a retrial with a new jury who have no previous bias? This has been a worldwide case. Your updates have been fantastic.

I don’t think it was somebody like that. I think it was somebody that just couldn’t get past that she killed the kids. They were not looking at all to see if she had psychosis. They had their mind made up and I think they lied to get on the jury.

A hard watch from the UK. If a unanimous decision can not be agreed, the judge will accept a majority! I can not see how a retrial can happen with this level of coverage! We don’t have televised courts either!

Also red said that they were leading to “not guilty” which was also an option, so how can you be sure it was by reason of insanity? Would love to hear your take!

Such a shame that it’s came to this, in the uk 11-1 or 10-2 is enough of a majority if they can’t agree after a reasonable time. I don’t get how they can find a jury that doesn’t know all about this case for the retrial

does that one juror even care what they’ve done? that they have caused a mistrial whilst clearly expressing reasonable doubt they will prolong this trauma and suffering of this family? this juror gets to go home and this doesn’t stay with them, but for the entire families of lindsay and her children, this is a wound that will be forcibly kept open whilst they file, prepare and conduct another trial. this is why the US system of unanimous verdicts fails, 10/12 should be enough for a verdict to prevent holdouts like this tanking trials

This is exactly how I’ve been thinking, round 2 will see a very different case/tactic from the prosecution and that’s a worry. However, the evidence already presented (as we know it) won’t change.
