@homesteaddreaming0: Turning fresh fruit into shelf-stable juice with my VIVOHOME steam juicer! 🍎🍇🍑 I love using this steam juicer to gently extract juice from fresh-picked or bulk fruit without needing to peel, mash, or strain everything by hand. The steam pulls out the juice, it collects in the middle chamber, and then I can transfer it straight into jars for safe canning. It’s one of my favorite ways to preserve apples, grapes, berries, peaches, cherries, and more—especially when the harvest is coming in faster than we can eat it! @VIVOHOME US #vivohome #steamjuicer #juicer #canning #canningandpreserving

Steaming grapes degrades heat-sensitive vitamins (like Vitamin C and B1) by about 10% to 30% and destroys raw enzymes, but it pasteurizes the juice for long-term storage and retains stable minerals and polyphenols. You will also lose dietary fiber and skin-bound antioxidants if the remaining pulp is discarded rather than pressed into the juice.

Seems like a waste of time if your steaming away the natural vitamins minerals

I currently have a different brand and might be looking for another. I accidently ran mine dry...idk if I ruined my bottom pan. This is available in a bigger size, I have a couple reasons now to upgrade 😀
I drop things so I use a TV tray set up in front of my stove, it's the perfect height to fill jars!!

Why do you put it in jars instead of bottles? I always use bottles.. and pur some sugar on the fruit so it is mixed directly when bottling

A question: doesn't the fruit need to be ground or cut up? If you add it whole, how are you going to get the juice out? You're just cooking the fruit; I don't think you'll get anything more than flavored water, not real juice.

Isn’t this just grape flavored steam that’s recycled? I feel like you would have to squeeze them to get the juice out. Is it just stems left or is the actual fruit left when it’s done that you can squeeze?
