Why do people find it so hard to accept that Tony Stark and Victor Von Doom might actually be connected in some way within the MCU? Sure, Avengers: Doomsday wasn't part of the original plan, but that doesn't mean the Russo brothers are just throwing it together at random, not when they’re known for meticulously attending to every detail. I’ve written stories without a specific ending in mind, only to look back and find unintentional connections that could be used for a plot twist I hadn't originally foreseen; it’s likely the same situation here, which makes it even cooler in my opinion. Besides, why bring Robert Downey Jr. back if they aren't going to link him to Victor somehow? Also, the MCU has never strictly adhered to the comics, so yes, Doom and Tony are probably more connected than people give them credit for.

It is a possibility that Dr Doom is a version of Tony that went rogue. yes, the director confirmed the name was Victor Von Doom, but how many times has the director lied to us in trailers or past movies?

I heard theories that doom in doomsday could be a tony stark variant, since they're using RDJ but that's not all, the metal clanking in avengers endgame encore makes it seem as if it's the birth of tony stark's path to being dr doom, just like his path to iron man
