Perimenopause decided my Hereditary Alpha Tryptasemia and fragrance/mold allergies were going to go from moderately annoying to deadly. It's been great....

Just wait until menopause and you have to put patches on twice a week! My whole stomach looks like I’m going through something these little patches with red around them stays for weeks. But hey menopause isn’t a joke

If you do find a good one for shoulders please share! I sublux or dislocate mine in my sleep regularly and it’s so painful all the time. But I have autism and sensory issues so binding my arm to my chest/side while I’m sleeping is just a big no-go 😭

K-tape actually rips my skin apart. The layers seperate. So even if I am careful with removing I still shred the skin while it’s on 😂💀 even when applied by a professional. I honestly don’t think that k tape is safe for EDS!

Can you have heds without skins bruising easily or doing this? When I found out I had hip dysplasia, I saw the symptoms and ruled it out at first because I didn’t have them all then found out with the X-ray that I did. Wondering if this could be the same

MCAS & HEDS here. My skin and muscles just forget where they should reside. Anyone else?

Is there a brand that is more MCAS friendly? I sure haven't found one yet. 😔 Sorry you suffer, too! We just want the proprioceptive support and inflammation support! 🥺

This triggered my memory of the environmental allergy test I had applied to my forearm years ago. The nurses were aghast saying it was the worst reaction they had seen in years/ever. Could it have been EDS or MCAS making those results more extreme?

barrier film is also an option if you can tolerate it. after my inner elbows were raw after a 4 day hospital stay, I was determined to find something to stop bandage adhesives from taking off that top layer of skin and this stuff works! it comes with or without alcohol.

I loathe my cgm for this. It blisters and scabs, even with the barrier wipe and flonase on it.

does the barrier wipes work under tape ? I blister with adhesive and of course when you take the tape or dressing off it rips the top off.

rock tape and ok tape have been okay on my skin and when you go to remove the tape the trick is to apply an oil before a shower and I run the warm water over the area. it literally starts to melt off then I use an oil based body wash to get the last little build up. I need the support on my shoulders and under the scapula. i’ve never found any support garments that hit all those spots so the tape is worth it for me

Jelliebend just teased a shoulder/arm compression garment. But I currently use something that is technically an ice pack for the shoulder. I found it helps keep my shoulder blade from winging out.

Off topic (ish) but would hEDS contribute to medication sensitivity? As in same meds eg Levothyroxine, but different brands/manufacturers not working as well or causing issues??
