I am a masters student currently, I actually leave spelling errors and grammatical errors in my papers. I get one or two points off for it but they never assume I use AI (because I don’t and i’d actually rather slam my hand in a car door than use it).

bruh the whole bullshit with the “oxford comma” as if we weren’t legit taught to use it, i was taught in elementary school to use the comma bc it’s a normal fucking comma, its commonly used, AI did not make it up like be so deadass

I had a prof accuse me of AI use because I used a word that online sources have also used… Mind you, the word was “performative.” I’m an English major. Using proper grammar and having a decent vocabulary does not mean I cheated. I understand your frustration girl 😭

i still have a b- on my transcript bc one of my professors accused me of using ai for my final paper and was like "i KNOW you used ai" and i asked why she thought that and she said there weren't any phrases from the textbook. Ma'am that's called PARAPHRASING

this just makes me mad because i literally remember learning how to use oxford commas in third grade. i’ve been using them ever since, and now the teachers think it’s ai because im using something i’ve literally learnt when i was young, make it make sense
