Between Safaa and Marwa while preforming the pilgrimage, men are required to run or jog at certain areas where Hajar ran to really feel her suffering, but women supposed to walk only as Hajar ran for all the Muslim women

My favorite part of her story when prophet Ibrahim left her there with their son , she asked him are you leaving us here, and he nodded yes so she asked him did Allah asked you to do that, he nodded yes she said Then He won’t waste us. Her statement gave me strength in many difficult times in my life. It’s a story that empowers women

What you are doing right now—reflecting upon these verses and trying to understand their deeper meaning—is something Allah has praised in many places throughout the Qur’an. Allah does not simply encourage us to read His words, but to think about them, question ourselves through them, and allow them to change the way we see the world and our relationship with Him. The Qur’an repeatedly calls people to reflect, contemplate, and use their reason, because faith is not meant to be something we follow blindly without understanding. And perhaps one of the most beautiful examples of this is Ibrahim (Abraham), peace be upon him. Allah chose Ibrahim and made him a prophet, and one of the remarkable things about his story is that he did not simply follow what he found his people and ancestors doing. He questioned it. He looked at the world around him, reflected upon the stars, the moon, and the sun, and searched for the truth. He was not satisfied with simply saying, “This is what my ancestors believed, so I will believe it too.” He wanted to know the truth and find his way to Allah. Hope u find the faith that makes u feel the peace and happiness u deserve

I'm so happy to find a Christian that doesn't hate Islam and actually learns about Islam using the Quran and the hatldith. You have no idea how much hate I get in comment ls just cuz I'm Muslim. This genuinely made my day.

I'm glad you're using Hadith to understand the Quran that's the correct approach. The Quran offers broad principles, while Hadith provides practical steps and daily examples from the Prophet's life. The water (Zamzam) given to Sayeda Hajar still flows today, a miracle.

These tears reminded me when i went there for ummrah, i couldnt stop crying because the story of Hagar felt soo recent and soo close because i was there. I kept imagining how she felt in a dark wilderness, alone just her and her child.. how frightened was she? Well, Allah didnt forget her and until the day of judgement her story will remain and every generation of muslims will fall in love with her character..

And the water that came from that story is called Zamzam 💧. Muslims still drink it today, and the Zamzam Well still remains in Makkah thousands of years later. 🕋

Abraham did not leave his wife and his only son at the time without reason. He did not abandon them to die; rather, he acted upon a command from God—and in that specific, remote location. It was simply something God willed.

Beautiful. Adding to that, since Hajar was in the desert heat, she was probably actually seeing the mirage which looks like water. So when she was at Safwa, she could see the "water" at Marwa. Hence why she was running back and forth.

For me, the story of Hagar is a story about an obedient wife to her husband, and about their trust and faith in God. Prophet Abraham was known for completely submitting to the will of God. When God commanded him to leave his wife, Hagar, and his firstborn son, Ishmael, in a barren desert where there was no one and nothing around, he obeyed. And I believe it must have been incredibly difficult for Prophet Abraham too. Ishmael was his first child, born to him after many years of having no children with his first wife, Sarah. Yet when God commanded him to leave Hagar and Ishmael in that barren land, he trusted God and obeyed. Prophet Abraham took Hagar and Ishmael to the place God had commanded him to go - which is now known as Mecca, and then he turned and walked away. When Hagar saw him leaving, she called out to him, asking, “Why are you leaving us here?” But Prophet Abraham did not answer. He did not turn back. She asked him three times, but he remained silent. Then Hagar understood. She knew that her husband was a man who would not disobey God. So she asked him, “Did God command you to do this? Prophet Abraham nodded. And Hagar replied, “Then God will not abandon us.” Imagine that moment. She was left alone in a barren land with her infant son, believing perhaps that no one would remember her. But God did. What Hagar may have thought was a forgotten moment became a moment remembered by millions. Her desperate search for water between Safa and Marwah became an act of worship that millions of Muslims now repeat during Hajj and Umrah every year. She thought she was being left in the desert. Instead, God made her story part of the pilgrimage of generations to come. Sometimes, what feels like abandonment is actually the beginning of a legacy written by God.
