Gtube mama and NICU nurse! I’m sure you already do but we put what’s called mepilex around my sons until it healed and it helped soaked things up! And of course cleaned the site daily with just some warm water, baby soap, and qtips. He also had to get what’s called “granulation tissue” taken off a couple times with what’s called silver nitrate. He got his at 6mo and he’s almost 9. I promise it gets better!❤️You’re doing fab.

There are some places on Etsy that sell g tube pads. They are soft and have Velcro closure. They might help. Big hugs. Yall are adjusting to so much. 🙏

My brother has had a g tube his entire life basically and he’s now an adult. I asked my mom, and she said it can definitely be normal! As long as it’s not constant, not super large amounts.

Hi my sister has a tube and I just want to tell you know that you need to clean the tube if you don’t already you are doing a great job but if you are not she can get sick. And wash it with hot water. And Keep going you are doing so good we are so proud of you and your daughter.💋

We had a lot of leaking in the beginning, over granulation tissue and soreness too it was really stressful because we were all new to it. Medical grade manuka honey saved us it healed her soreness ect amazingly stopped her getting infections too. We also used button pads from Amazon xx

My daughters has had a gtube since she was about a month old and she’s 3 now. I put a little thing around her gtube to soak up if it leaks so she doesn’t ruin her clothes. It’s normal to leak a little bit

my little brother has had an gtube for more than 5 years and my mom said that blood is normal for the first week or two so don’t worry there’s nothing wrong with it

I have a GJ tube but what helps me for my stomach is diaper rash cream around the tube and my skin. It helps a lot.

Unfortunately it is normal for split gauge and mepilex it when not using it ; split gauge will catch all that and the first few weeks this is completely normal

No it’s not normal you can have the pediatrician or one of the dr’s call in sum antibiotics cream you can dm me and I can tell you what my son uses he’s had his gtube for 2 years now you most definitely don’t have to rush your kid to the hospital schedule an appointment with the dr
