I have a feeling Tyrion is actually a Targaryen and that’s why they didn’t burn him. Mad king had his way with Tywins wife many times. It wouldn’t surprise me if that is the real reason his father hated him so much. He knew that want his real son.

I’d like to believe there’s something far more special about Danys dragons than simply the magical event that birthed them. They don’t act like any of the previous dragons throughout history, they grow faster than normal, they’re more powerful, seemingly more intelligent, and not just Targaryens can ride them(sorta)… it’s beautiful

i hate the people in these comments that are like "errm he actually IS a targ!!!1!" as if it isnt all but confirmed that nothing about their blood makes them riders and they just control the supply of dragons through the loyalty of the keepers and thats why no one else had them. in HotD, Viserys I Targaryen says "the idea that we control the dragons is an illusion", in Fire and Blood, Sheepstealer isnt tamed by a targaryen at all but a common girl, Nettles. additionally Tyrion being a "secret targ" just removes a lot of the beauty of this moment, where the little boy finally sees one of his dreams completed, thanks to the will of Dany.

Actually I think at this point I think nearly every great house in Westeros had some Targaryen blood because of the marriages that happened after the dance of the dragons. So even if he isn’t the mad kings son he likely still has Targaryen blood
