The house was then set on fire. Grand Haven Township, Michigan (July 24, 2026):Perpetrator: Kristopher Karolkiewicz.Details: Karolkiewicz fatally shot his wife, Amanda, and their six children, ranging in age from 5 to 15. He then set multiple fires in the home and died by suicide. Winfield, Kansas (August 11, 2026):Perpetrator: Unidentified father.Details: The man called 911 to report that he had killed his family before dying by suicide in a murder-suicide. Police found six people dead inside the home, including his wife and four children between the ages of 3 and 9. Hopkins, Minnesota (August 12, 2026):Perpetrator: 41-year-old local man. Details: The man killed a 78-year-old relative at her home, then went to the in-home daycare he ran with his wife. He killed his wife and 7-year-old daughter before dying by suicide.
