Until February 2025 we had a PC in our office that ran some software that had been on since late 2016 and it only rebooted due to some random driver update 😭

i set up a ras pi based smart display that i forgot had a pc in it that i had to maintain and it finally crashed during a power outage the PSU couldnt maintain it through. uptime then was 2013-2022 (it had weather and emergency service widgets as well as my alarms (for time not security) so it was in my "important things" cluster) an hour of resetting and updating to a new interface with better features and its been on since so 2022-present

If the system is set up perfectly, you never need to reboot, reboot is an escamotage for problems
