@xoitsariel: Guess I’m not a popular influencer if I can’t film in a Sephora…. All I wanted was to show how awesome Mikayla’s stand looks like And she tried to pretend to “help me” asking do I need help and then said I can’t record lol. Listening back I noticed that hahaha. Is this a new thing??? @Sephora @Point of View Beauty #sephora #sephoravlog #shoppingvlog #beautycreator #contentcreatorlife
“Do better with your employees” she did exactly what she’s supposed to. You need to do better.

Sephora has always had that policy since day one. it's really to protect other clients from being filmed. it's a privacy issue.

Not having that issue at other Sephoras or Ulta doesn’t mean it’s not a policy. Some locations might just enforce it more strictly than others. If that store told you no recording, they’re just enforcing their rules.

It’s unfortunate policy and sephora, depending which one sometimes u can film just yourself or the product without others in the back if u let them if they ask. But it just depends on each sephora location and how strict they are

When I worked at Sephora years ago, the policy was no filming. Some managers were lenient 🤷🏻♀️

As a sephora employee it depends on the location, it’s for the protection of employees , not from you but because sephora tries to protect the identity of certain employees who could be going through DV.

It is Sephoras Policy but technically it’s really up to the store and who’s running it 🙃 it suck’s that they could have gain personal attention from this video for all they know! As long as you’re keeping it to yourself I feel like you should be left alone!! Sucks bc social media is HUGE in marketing rn and in a sense you’re marketing for them for free lol lowkey id feel discriminated, you’re in the right for feeling a kinda way! 🥲

It’s been a policy for quite a while with Sephora, the only time it’s allowed is if you reach out to cooperate and request it and then they reach out to the Sephora of your choice and they set up a day and time of when. It’s for safety reasons, at the end of the day we don’t know what people are going through, what if someone was on the run from an abusive partner and filming and posting put them smack in the middle of danger. Not to mention Sephora has a program for that. To help employees in danger for whatever reason and it could completely defeat the purpose if people are in store filming and giving away their location. Unfortunately not every Sephora employee feels ucomfortable asking that of clients for fear of combative reactions

It’s only for protection due to Domestic abuse survivors, some people have stalkers , and it’s part of Sephoras policy , it’s not to be rude or anything it’s just some people have actual issues outside of work that are personal..

as a worker it’s just for privacy reasons but you can always call the stores ahead of time and confirm if you can film there or not! my manager has allowed many people :)

Sephora workers hate is so weird bc she was literally just doing her job we’re supposed to ask you to not record it’s policy and saying she was pretending to ask you for help is odd bc if you’ve ever been to a Sephora you know the workers are trained to go up to everyone make sure they’re getting help

you can’t record for client and employee protection. all influencers have to contact corporate in advanced and get approval even then they do they can’t record clients or employees. i used to work there and i would have issues with clients just setting up their phone and record me ringing up their products and it was so weird 😭😭😭

You cant record in most stores not just Sephora or Ulta for several different reasons, usually it's policy. She didn't sound rude.
Well, we now now:) or maybe ask before you start recording 🤷♀️

sephora is private property. you can’t film, only if you’re doing promotional or marketing film for the actual company.

It’s private property. Would you want some stranger recording in your house? Sephora has a strict policy against it. The employee was doing their job.
