@square.thoughts: If your lodge has inherited wealth, put it to work. Bring in speakers. Build serious education and mentoring programs. Feed people well. Support Brothers and their families without passing the hat. Create public events, open the building, and give ambitious Brothers the resources to try something new. A lodge’s return on investment should include stronger men, stronger families, community goodwill, greater visibility, and a fraternity worth passing on. The goal is not to die with the largest bank account. Part 2 of 3. #Freemasonry #MasonicLodge #LodgeLeadership #Masonic #SquareThoughts
Completely agree, I’m hoping to be stepping into the east next year and my lodge is very small and dying, only about 8 guys show up every meeting. The city my lodge is in is also declining, is it worth while to bring about a resurgence to my lodge and potentially the city?
