Automated systems would produce what people need and help distribute resources fairly across the world. Instead of buying a home or car, people could have access to sustainable VRIL POD homes and highly efficient VRIL VELO vehicles, alongside free healthcare, education, transportation, food, energy and technology. AI and robotics would eventually perform most necessary work, giving people something humanity has rarely had: true freedom over their time. People could create art, study science, travel, spend time with family, explore nature, invent new things or simply enjoy life. And advanced virtual reality could create infinite virtual worlds to explore. Imagine stepping into entirely new cities, planets, historical eras or fantasy worlds, meeting people from around the globe and creating experiences limited only by imagination. The goal of technology shouldn’t be to make us work forever. The goal should be to eventually free humanity from having to work for survival at all.
