For those who asked why put onion in water? It’s to remove the “spicy raw” taste of the onion and make it milder so it’s not overpowering the egg mayo mixture. I usually use this method for my son’s chicken salad, tuna salad and this one as well cause he’s too young and says onion is spicy 😅
