So China in a way rescued global economy at least for now. Separately, China won’t “invade” Taiwan coz Taiwan is part of China. It’ll be like saying the US invades NY. A country does not invade itself. Reunify? Yes. Invade? No.

So, basically, China was investing into alternative energy, stockpiling oil and building infrastructures to be less dependable on oil… while the USA government had been spending our money on wars, investing in Israel and Ukraine and basically, wasting our future… cool

I knew about China "saving" us from the oil squeeze but didn't know about the reason they started stockpiling and seeking alternative energy solutions. That's very interesting and scary in regards to Taiwan. China is certainly playing the long game with these initiatives. Great info.

I really like your analysis. I have always thought that China will want its first customer, the USA, alive and doing well enough so they can continue to buy all kinds of Chinese products. I am convinced that they think on several levels and play the very long term. Which is why they secured access ro rare earth metals a decade ago. I don't think they are interested by war. It is too costly. And they just saw the other 2 big powers ruining themselves in 2 wars of choice, against Ukraine for Russia and against Iran for the USA. With these 2 very misguided wars these 2 superpowers ruined their own economies. China is wise. They saw these mistakes and will just continue to build economic worldwide superiority. Taiwan will join by themselves at one point.

Obama had a similar plan. When asked why he was building up our reserves, he said that it was so that the US could cash in on instability in the oil market, and especially for when everyone else ran out of oil and the US was left with a monopoly. He was playing a very long game, and then it got undone overnight by trump and the GOP for short term profits.
