AutoCamp in Joshua Tree is an incredible place to stay. It’s all airstreams and has a clubhouse with a pool and small restaurant

I drove from Philly to the coast of WA in 56 hours. Only stopped for bathroom and food. It was horrible, take your time and enjoy our beautiful country.

I love your plan. I took 90 days. Started in Providence up to Arcadia, down to DC then then the Blue Ridge Smokey Mtn NP, Asheville, Nashville, down to Everglades, Key West, back up to Nemohus then to the Ozarks, Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Pike's Peak, Rocky Mtn NP, Cheyenne, then West, Great Salt Lake, The Sierras, Napa, Sonoma, Pacific Coast Hwy, San Fran, LA, bsck up to Yosemite, then Glacier, then Yellowstone then Grand Teton. I bought a Chevy Avalanche and slept in it a few times. I took a map and a highlighter and traced everywhere I went. Best decision ever.

I’ve gone on lots of road trips. BLM camping is free but doesn’t have any facilities. Mesa Verde in CO is interesting as is badlands in SD. My favorite are the 5 in UT. That time of year you might find camping in the park. Some of the parks also have timed entry now so plan ahead for those or get there real early before the gate opens.
