Stars and Stripes is my Roman Empire. I just can't. She had everything to win, and Horikoshi made her lose in a way I find disappointing. Her quirk was really good, but instead she chooses to waste one of her rules to change her own appearance? I hate how women are represented in shone in general, there are just a few with good female characters.

Even though it sucked we saw barely any of her, Stars and Stripes was a real goat of the final seasons. Her quirk severely nerfed O4A’s catalogue, and while she could’ve fled or tried other tactics, she also acted impulsively to help protect All Might’s home, which is a believable trait from someone like her. But… she was also used to show how strong Tomura was after his rebirth, so it’s a shame she was only used for those two things.

For Nejire it's really wild. Because we really see the development and the story of Mirio and Tamaki, while Nejire, we don't know anything about her except that she has a good quirk

I'm like 99% sure the ONLY reason they killed off star was because she was too strong, a quirk like hers is literally impossible to balance without giving the villains more plot armor then they already have (realistically, she should have killed shiggy)

One of my biggest pet peeves with MHA’s handling of it’s women is their durability. It kills me that men are able to survive their bodies breaking, limbs tearing off, and organs exploding, but the women fall over to stab wounds or falls. How in the world is it that in the 2nd movie, Mina falls from high up and is literally near death (barely able to twitch and breathe and has to be helped with a stretcher) but Bakugo’s heart explodes, he gets open heart surgery, and is completely okay to engage in intense battle?

And this is my biggest beef with shonen that is written by men. They do not write female characters well. look at Naruto for example. but then let's look at ones that are written by women like demon slayer... full metal... i sometimes feel like men have the hardest time letting women be strong.

Mha needs more “filler” to focus on other characters because it would just make everything better. I really think he introduced way too many characters and only spent time on toga, Shigaraki, Deku, Todoroki, and Bakugo

midnight was never "reduced" to the way she is you yourself showd a vigilantes reference if you watched/read it youd know she was always like that. I do agree her friend with them was really overlooked but that's all honesty she always been that character and the term reduced is used so loosely bc she was never better to begin with? neijire's backstory how was it shallow I genuinely wanna know. I also agree with start and stripes.

I'll add the fact that in all class A, non of the girls quirks are as flashy for fight, you have good quirks of course, but none of them are like: FIRE, ICE, EXPLOSIONS, RAW STRENGHT. There isn't that variety, sure mina has acid, but it's shown to not be that strong without burning her. Momo had a lot of potential, but is not shown to be flashy in fights like a shonen needs, same with uraraka etc etc. I love them, but it's clear horikoshi didn't care to make those quirks as strong as the males, because they're girls and they care about romance and being a support.

When Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki were training hard, pushed to the limit by Endeavour in their work study, the girls were made to…have fun at the beach. It was so obvious that the story didn’t care at all about the girls, the author didn’t even stop to consider they would be working just as hard as the boys to improve. No, he just tried to justify it as “pros need to relax and enjoy the nice moments so they have something to fight for.” Cool message, but really shows a lack of respect you have for women
