Is there any way I can be of assistance to medical research as someone who has previously done a ton of self experimentation, and is also highly aware of pharmacology

When I stopped vaping, one of my withdrawal symptoms was uncontrollably sobbing for about three days. Do you have any thoughts on this?

I had an extremely peculiar experience one time when I was freshly clean off amphetamines about 2 and 1/2 Weeks completely clean well rested well fed. I had not engaged yet in any kind of treatment program that time around no AA no na just White knuckle grip. simultaneously I was going through a rather traumatic breakup between me and my late husband in which my parental rights were in question and I was kind of having mental breakdown so I don't know whether this is related to the drug driver or indirectly. I was driving a friend to babysit and as I dropped him off I don't remember any trigger specific trigger but this was about 6:00 a.m. and I was broke I had no money no cigarettes and no drugs that was not doing drugs and I blacked out somehow lost time about 48 hours later is my next memory and when that begin or rather when the time-lapse ended I was smoking meth with a sudden oh my gosh where am I how to get here moment then I realized a little bit later I had about $300 in my pocket and a quarter ounce of stuff and a pack of cigarettes and full tank of gas and I never did figure out how that come to be I've always wondered if I progressed normally through my day and then was introduced to some kind of drug that causes temporary amnesia similar to what is used for Date grape or surgical procedure if that could have caused me to lose time for the duration and some amount of time prior to taking the drug or if I had a mental breakdown and something you need to go over it's always perplexed me and many many years this was 2012 and nothing like that ever happened to me again I kind of wants us in with some kind of weird withdrawal symptoms but I also kind of lump it end with the traumatic experience of being separated from my family it's really hard to say but I can tell you that just about nobody believed me about the symptom everybody thought was an excuse to relapse which still breaks my heart

I love that you point out being able to recognize those internal Body Sensations is such a big deal for people in substance use. I work in chemical dependency Counseling in a Corrections environment, and I specifically teach social behavioral emotional skills to adults. a lot of times not being taught those social emotional learning skills, like simply being able to identify feelings, being able to identify bodily sensations, being able to identify the thoughts in our head... those are the things that lead people to the impulsive choices which often leads to them ending up in the system. and yes, often times it's because it's not taught in childhood or because the person grew up in a high Aces environment. I think that you are spot on with this and I love your videos

is the increased rate of relapse in those with bad withdrawal symptoms long term? or only during symptoms/shortly following? I mean I'd suspect the gap would probably get smaller and smaller over time but maybe not (I'm gonna be so fr I know I could look this up but I'm currently in my 20 minute break from the trenches of writing up my masters dissertation and simply can't get distracted by other research)

so does this mean that we can develop protocols for people based onr these numbers, possibly even sedation for certain periods during withdrawal if someone meets specific thresholds?

How do I get involved with studies like this? I’m 9 months sober but have a decade of grossly excessive use and multiple instances of severe withdrawal. I’d love to be helpful if possible

My withdrawal from opioids 10 years ago theoretically should have been the same as my then boyfriend, but it was so much worse for me. Mainly that he could sleep straight away, and I had severe insomnia for months afterwards.

That's because the trauma score. There's always a larger problem that the person is focused on. That's why they can't see what's happening to them as well. And in real time.

Some of the withdrawal experiences of those suffering from childhood trauma seem similar to how the trauma feels itself. 🥺

The withdrawal symptoms from a massive caffeine addiction were debilitating - I couldn't move for three days, and felt slow for weeks. It was also a terrible overdose - over a gram.
Twenty-five years later I am back on the sauce, getting about 90mg of caffeine a day. I learned my lesson though, and I do occasionally go a day without any. I used to take February off.
